Anti-inflammatory Lifestyle

 Chronic inflammation can lead to many disease processes such as mental health disorders, cancer, autoimmune diseases, cardiovascular disease, diabetic complications, fibromyalgia and many more. Reducing inflammation is key to treating and preventing these disease processes. 

Here are some tips to help  decrease inflammation in your body

Eat foods such as berries, fatty fish, high fiber foods, green leafy vegetables, nuts, whole grains, herbs.

Reduce or eliminate processed foods that are high in sugar, salt, unhealthy fats  and preservatives.

Prioritize sleep by shutting off electronics 1 hour before bed, going to bed by 10pm, getting natural sunlight first thing in the morning.

Manage stress through prayer, healthy relationships, practicing forgiveness, gratitude journal, exercise, taking  adaptogens such as Ashwaganda and Rhodiola

Remove toxins from your environment. These can be found in some cleaning products, personal care items, unfiltered water, non-organic foods. Once a year go through a medically supervised detox program.
